Antique Traveling Trunk With Pictures On Lid & Tray

We have for sale an antique traveling trunk. The trunk is metal with wood strips on the exterior. There are two leather straps on each end. There is no lock. On the inside there is a picture on the inside lid and a matching one on the tray cover. The small compartment box has a lid with a picture on it. When you remove the tray compartment the trunk is lined in newspapers. The trunk does show wear. But due remember it is an antique and will not be perfect. We do not know the exact age or date. It weighs 41 pounds and is 22 inches tall by 31 1/2 inches long and 19 1/2 inches wide. We do have more photographs that we can email if you are interested. Antiq Primitive Metal & Wood Trunk w Tray 32x16x16 Tall

This trunk is made of metal and wood, it is black and brown with leather handles on each side. The top and sides are reinforced with panels. The latch on the front is a very unusual style. Inside there is a tray or shelf that lifts out. The inside of the trunk is in good condition and is lined with decorative paper. The edges of the tray show a little wear. I believe the outside of the trunk has has a lacquer finish on it. This is a nice, attractive small trunk. It is a antique and will not be perfect. I do not know the maker or the exact date it was made. It measures 16 ¼ inches tall, 31 ½ inches side to side and 15 5/8 inches front to back. The weight is 28 pounds. Antique Travel Trunk for Back of Car 1920's Rohn Co. WI

You are looking at a antique travel trunk from the 1920's. This trunk is in great shape, it has shiny chrome trim on the upper front corners and nickel hardware and latches. The trunk is made of wood and overlaid with a black durable material that is perfect for exposure to the elements. The trunk has a few scrapes and scuffs but overall condition is great. There is a leather handle on each end of the trunk and it opens up to a matching suitcase inside. The suitcase fits perfectly in the base of the trunk. The trunk is lined with fabric and has labels inside and out that read “ROHN CO, MILWAUKEE AUTO TRUNKS”. This is antique and will not be perfect. I do not know the exact date this trunk and suitcase were made. The trunk measures 18 ½ inches tall, 34 inches side to side and 18 ¼ inches front to back. It weighs 52 pounds. Antique Great Condition Hand Carved Oriental Asian Chest Exotic Wood Chinoisery

You are looking at a very ornately hand carved Asian trunk. This chest is made of exotic wood and has a very deep chestnut brown stain on it. The pattern is a deep cut floral pattern that wraps the chest in 2 areas like steamer trunk straps. The edging of the chest and the feet are carved as well. The feet are bracket style. There is a large metal latch on the front of the chest. There is a split in the wood on the top in one section, see the photos below. The interior has a really nice pull out tray that is very sturdy. The handles on each end of the chest are flowers that are carved into the sides of the chest. There are also handles cut into the floral pattern on the front of the lid so it is easy to lift. This chest is beautifully made, being hand carved it is a one of a kind piece. I do not know the artist name or exact date this piece was made however it was part of a large collection owned by a private collector. Most of his collection was 1 of a kind pieces that he purchased in the early to mid 1900's in southern Asia and Japan as he traveled. This piece is antique and in great condition however it will not be perfect. Measurements are 22 inches tall, 38 7/8 inches side to side and 19 ¼ inches front to back. It weighs 76 pounds.
