Antique Bookcase China Cabinet French Style Glass Doors
 This is a French style bookcase or china cabinet with two glass doors. The top of the cabinet has a beveled edge. There is a spot where the varnish has peeled away and some light spots on top of the cabinet. There are 2 adjustable shelves inside the cabinet. All 3 interior shelves have a reeded edge. The trim beside the doors is reeded as well. The center shelf inside the cabinet is not adjustable. There is a very nice wooden carved inlay behind the glass on each door. The doors have small metal pulls. This piece is stamped Briderman Furniture Co. Springfield, MO on the back. I do not know the exact date it was made. It is antique and will not be perfect. This case measures 44 ½ inches tall, 36 ¾ inches side to side and 11 ¼ inches front to back. It weighs 66 pounds. We do have more photographs that we can email if you are interested. 1865 German China Hutch Large Glass Door & Shelf XCLNT
Beautifully crafted in Germany. This china cabinet is elegant simple Edwardian style. The cabinet has a single large glass door and glass sides. The 3 interior shelves are glass as well. Beautiful carved quarter round trim adorns the front corners. The top has a “crowning” turned spindle held shelf and a lovely floral shell medallion standing on the center of the top. This cabinet sits on 4 small ring carved ball feet. The top of this cabinet has scratches all around the edges but I believe they are surface only. The finish is smooth to the touch. The door has a lock and we do have the key. There is a large drawer across the base of the cabinet as well and it too has a lock. There is a label on the interior back wall of this cabinet. It is written and typed in German. Our best translation on what is says is DUPLICATE THE LABEL IN THE SHIPMENT SPECIAL NOTES OF SENDER: (unsure of writing) AT (writing) IN VIENNA 8/65 (writing). So this could mean the cabinet was shipped to Vienna Austria in Aug. 1865. On the back of the cabinet there is another small label, it reads: Direrreichifche Bunire (the makers name?) Bon (receipt) ms a/d dl (?) Bien (?). See the pictures below. I believe this is a very rare piece in excellent condition. It is antique and will not be perfect. The cabinet measures 69 inches tall, 42 ¾ inches side to side and 17 inches front to back. It weighs 106 pounds. The shelves measure ¼ inches thick, 37 inches side to side and 12 11/16 inches front to back. They weigh a total of 31 pounds. We do have more photographs that we can email if you are interested.
